The VIA NFR7500 is designed to address the needs of today's modern network security systems. This feature-packed network appliance platform is ideal for security or gateway applications, including Firewall, VPN, UTM, Anti-Virus and Intrusion Prevention System products. Other network applications include Proxy Server, Quality of Service and Load Balancer products.
Powered by an energy-efficient VIA C7® processor and the versatile VIA CN896 chipset, the VIA NFR7500 supports up to 4GB of DDR2 system memory, 4 S-ATA ports supporting RAID 0 and RAID 1, as well as a 44-pin IDE or bootable Compact Flash socket. The 2 PCI slots and one MiniPCI socket can be used when the add-on cards are needed.
The VIA NFR7500 features up to five Gigabit Ethernet ports (4 of which through PCI Express) supporting LAN Bypass, a USB WLAN interface, four S-ATA ports for data logging or signature, serial ports for console redirection and other functions including a TPM for added reliability and security.
